Whats to say… I am a 22 year old student at Stellenbosch University which as you would have guessed is in the beautifull town of Stellenbosch; who is also trying to make it as a cyclist. It is a tough profession filled with many hardships but nonetheless its the sport I love and I’ll keep on pedalling until im a very old man.
I was brought into this world on the 3rd of October 1988 in the delightful town of Middelburg. I spent my early years here, before my family relocated to the bustling metropolis of Pietermaritzburg. This is where I was schooled and was fortunate enough to attend Laddsworth Primary School and St Charles College.
It was in Grade 9 that I discovered my love for cycling and racing. Now 6 years on I race both road and mountain bikes throughout South Africa. I have been lucky enough to receive support from: Sean Williams Contracts, Cube Bikes South Africa, Dulce Cafe, PVM Nutritional Sciences, Sludge Tyre Sealant, Squirt Chain Lube, UVEX Helmets, Rubena Tyres, Cycle Lab and this is what allows me to pursue my dreams.
Besides cycling I enjoy a good bottle of red, cooking, chilling with my girlfriend and friends, spending time on the farm, reading, playing with Zoey(the dog), movies, music and playing on the net.
Enjoy reading my blog, I hope it interests as well as entertains you.
